Advacned skin Rejuvination
We all covet beautiful, radiant skin. Women and men often turn to skincare products such as serums, creams and masks to improve their skin’s appearance. While these products work well to cleanse and moisturise your skin, there are some advanced treatments that can only be experienced at the hands of an experienced aesthetician. Kiranlife Inc. clients can achieve softer and smoother radiant skin in less than an hour. Thus, if you’re seeking a radiant glow for a special occasion or want to maintain youthfulness to your skin then these unique beauty treatments are perfect for you.
Dermaplaning
Dermatologists like to do this treatment when they need their products to penetrate better and makeup artists recommend it to their celebrity patients when they want to achieve flawless makeup application before the red carpet. It can be done prior to skin needling to shorten recovery time or before LED therapies for a more enhanced and luminous glow. Now dermaplaning is available to everyone
What is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning, also known as epi blading, is a very popular skincare treatment in the beauty industry today. Think of it as a completely new way to exfoliate your skin. A sterile surgical blade gently scrapes the skin’s surface to remove layers of dead skin cells along with any unwanted fine hair. It helps to smooth away dullness revealing a brighter, more vibrant complexion.
How does dermaplaning in Kiranlife Inc. work?
Dermaplaning can be performed on the face, neck and under the chin and is quick and painless. After your face is properly cleansed and prepped, our experienced aesthetician will hold your skin taut and use a disposable scalpel to gently exfoliate your skin by scraping the top layer of the epidermis. This procedure removes fine facial hair as well, leaving your skin smooth and fuzz-free. Some patients experience a slight reddening of the skin afterwards, which subsides quickly, leaving radiant skin with no evidence that you’ve had an epi-blading treatment.
Dermaplaning takes approximately half an hour to complete and based on your cycle of hair growth, it’s recommended to have this treatment every four weeks to maintain the results. It’s also important that you don’t try this at home – this procedure takes careful precision. Only a licensed professional like a member of our team here at Kiranlife Inc. should carry out your treatment.
Is dermaplaning right for me?
One major advantage of dermaplaning is that it can be done on any skin type, even on patients with extremely sensitive skin. There are some contraindications, however, that could mean dermaplaning isn’t suitable for you. These are:
- active or inflamed acne
- raised lesions on the skin
- open wounds
- allergy to nickel
What are the benefits of dermaplaning?
This outstanding treatment has five main benefits:
- It exfoliates the skin, leaving it soft and smooth
- It removes any fine hair known as peach fuzz
- It allows skincare products to penetrate better
- It helps makeup stay fresher all day on smoother skin
- It saves you money as less product is required
Additionally, dermaplaning at Kiranlife is a great treatment for dry, rough skin and it also helps to improve skin texture, mild scarring, hyperpigmentation, fine lines and reduces pore size. Another benefit is that there’s minimal downtime with this treatment; you can have epi-blading done on your lunch break and be able to apply your usual beauty products or makeup straight away (however it’s recommended that you wait a couple of hours). In case you’re wondering whether dermaplaning will cause facial hair to grow back thicker, the answer is no. Epi-blading doesn’t cause the hair to grow back darker or coarser. However re-growth might feel a little different after this treatment due to the angle at which the hair was removed.
What’s the difference between dermaplaning and shaving?
In theory dermaplaning and shaving may sound similar but in fact they’re very different. A medical-grade sterile disposable blade is much more precise than a razor purchased from a pharmacy or supermarket. While facial shaving with a razor does remove some skin cells, it does so in an inconsistent manner, whereas epi-blading uses a more refined approach to thoroughly remove fine hairs and dead skin cells. Furthermore, shaving with blunt razors in a home environment can be harsh on the skin. Sometimes shaving is carried out in a rush or with bad lighting resulting in lacklustre results. Epi-blading, on the other hand, is performed by a certified expert at our clinic so you get an optimal outcome every time
